Your biggest concern is getting enough slack in the cable to get one cable end off first.īe advised that when your done you give yourself the proper Free Play/ or the cancel switch on the carb rack can be envoked to cancel cruise/control at that point. ![]() Be aware you may need to get to the top of the carbs to loosen the slack enough. Now you just have the throttle grip/cable control, in your hand, without fighting the cables to remove the throttle tube with that end of the bar attached (those cables are not that long). and just rest it with the brake still attached on a towel or heavy shop rag. It will be easy to then slide the bar out of the Throttle tube. If you want take the allen head bolt out of that side and get rid of that part of the 3peice handle bars first. Give yourself as much cable slack from any or all cable ends, and take the cable end out of the hole with the wire slot. Have you ever replaced a throttle on any machine, if you have replaced one you can replace any.
